to i386kernel – yes, prednisone is dangerous when taken long term, it should NEVER be stopped immediately, which can result in a relapse of an asthma attack. Prednisone is not nearly as dangerous as not breathing. Yoga can be a fabulous preventative measure but does not immediately cure an asthma attack as traditional meds can.

Prednisone: this really has adverse effects. It will weaken your immune system. Stop it……I would suggest you to do yoga…..it really has helped me and will help you too….look out of yoga teacher…..trust me you feel great by doing yoga..that should certainly cure your Asthma..and it also increases your lung capacity…

This was recommended for asthmatics. Everytime I have an attack, they prescribe prednisone, a steroid. I’m feel like I look like a body builder

Thank you for this, I am just starting Yoga and wish to further it, it’s quite difficult when you’re a little overweight, but hopefully with my fitness program and Yoga I should improve my health. ^_^

Go for it Deefunny I am a male 43 years young and have done yoga for 15 years. My life would not be the same without it. Yoga is all about you spending time with your self honouring mind body and spirit. Don’t forget to breathe and smile and have fun!
